Kayak Jacket

This is a kayaking jacket, PFD, Personal Flotation Device, is not a lifejacket or personal flotation device and does not conform nor is it intended to conform to international standard IS012402.

The jacket is designed specifically for surf kayaking and surf paddle sport in South Africa. The jacket features a full rescue harness with collar grab handle and adjustable crutch straps and has three adjustable waist straps all serving to mould the jacket to the wearers’ body preventing the jacket from floating upwards on the wearer which in turn allows maximum efficiency of the buoyancy medium.   The rescue harness allows a paddler to be lifted from the water by the kayaking jacket.   As this jacket was designed specifically for surf and sea paddling, two large zippered pockets are provided on the front of the jacket specifically for carrying safety equipment such as mobile phones and flares. Extra additional buoyancy medium can be provided by interconnecting a drip bag providing five litres in total of extra buoyancy. These bags are high frequency welded and are extremely strong. The extra part of the jacket is then manually inflated by use of a tube and mouthpiece conveniently located on the left lapel. The system is sealed by a nylon ratchet clamp which allows for variable levels of inflation to suit the individual paddler.

The jackets carry reflective strips front and back and a whistle doubles as a toggle on the zip slider.

The jacket is completely drained with mesh inserts in all areas which would trap fluid when exiting the water.

THIS KAYAKING JACKET IS ALSO AVAILABLE WITH THE EXTRA FLOTATION AND DRINK SYSTEM AS PICTURED ASK US FOR DETAILS OR ADD AT CHECKOUT

  • DIY Cordless Drill Storage And Charging Station diyprojects.ideas... This wall-mounted cordless drill storage will help keep the entire workshop looking clean and organized. It also serves as the charging station so that items related to your cordless tools are always all in one place! If you don't have any wall space available anymore, you can incorporate this idea into an existing furniture/storage in your workshop!

  • Organize and Separate Fishing Hooks With Safety Pins For almost any small item with an "eye"! I'd use a stainless steel diaper pin though (if the hook's eye is large enough to fit onto diaper pin)- they're stronger, rustproof, and less likely to pop open. Find in "notions" section of fabric stores, or In baby bib, onesies, socks, hanging wall section of big stores. Search internet for picture before shopping.
